As Regional Coordinator for Central Texas, Shelby Vaughn, Ed.D., collaborates with local organizations, participates in community events, and connects with people with disabilities and their families. Shelby also raises awareness about the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities (TCDD) and shares opportunities for people to get involved in TCDD projects. Before joining TCDD, Shelby was a postdoctoral research associate at Texas A&M University. Her research interests include curriculum design, diverse populations, and initiatives on inclusivity and equity. She also previously served as assistant director of the Doctoral Support and Quality Assurance Center at the University of West Florida. Shelby is based in the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service (AgriLife) campus in College Station.
