87th Legislative Session

The regular session of the 87th Texas Legislature concluded on May 31, 2021. During the legislative session, TCDD provided regular updates on what’s happening at the Capitol. These weekly updates included important testimony, hearings to watch, legislative-related resources, and more. We will be doing the same for the 88th session.

Monday, May 31, was the 140th and final day of the regular session of the 87th Texas Legislature. Lawmakers spent the day adopting resolutions, hearing announcements, and making minor technical corrections to bills that had already passed. But the calm of these final hours came in stark contrast to the tension from the preceding week. Learn More.
