Funding Available

Find out about grant funding and stipend opportunities.

When funding is available, TCDD issues a Request for Applications (RFA). Applications are reviewed and some organizations may be awarded grant funding. TCDD also provides stipends to support disability-related events, speakers, and translation services in Texas. For more information regarding applying for a grant, see Frequently Asked Questions.

To make sure you never miss a new RFA announcement, subscribe to our newsletter and select “Grant Funding Opportunities” on the subscription form.

Requests For Applications When funding is available, TCDD issues an RFA for topic-specific projects. Applications are reviewed by subject-matter experts, and funding is awarded by the Council.

Funding Available

There are currently no RFAs available. Please check back here to see future grant opportunities.

Stipends

TCDD has funding available for multiple stipends to support disability-related events, speakers, and translation services in Texas. We offer these stipends to enhance opportunities for people with developmental disabilities (DD) and their families to exercise choice and control in their lives, and promote independence, productivity, and community inclusion. Stipend applications must be received by TCDD at least 60 days in advance of the event.

Conference and Event Stipends

Texas organizations that conduct qualified in-state professional or informational conferences, workshops, or legislative advocacy skills training events can apply for grants to help more individuals with developmental disabilities and their family members to attend. Disability-Related Speaker Stipends

TCDD has funds available to support presentations on disability-related issues at conferences in Texas. Funds for these grants are made available to TCDD by the U.S. Administration for Community Living (ACL). See Disability-Related Speaker Stipends to learn more and apply. 

Translation and Interpretation Stipends

TCDD has funds available to support translation and interpretation services to reduce language barriers to access services and supports in Texas. Funds for these grants are also made available by ACL. To learn more and apply, see Translation and Interpretation Stipends.

Funding opportunities for specific projects are announced on this page, in our newsletter, on our social media, and in the Texas Register. TCDD does not accept unsolicited requests for funding. We welcome innovative ideas and suggestions of activities to implement the goals and objectives in our state plan. Email tcdd@tcdd.texas.gov or complete our feedback form to submit your ideas.
