When funding is available, TCDD issues a Request for Applications (RFA) for topic-specific projects. Applications are reviewed by subject matter experts and projects are selected by our Council. All current and scheduled RFAs are listed below.
Increasing Access to Information about COVID-19 Vaccines for Individuals with Disabilities
TCDD has funding available for one grant for up to $200,000 for an organization to conduct communication and marketing activities to share information and resources that will reduce barriers and lead to an increase in the number of people who receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The deadline to apply is Oct. 22, 2021.
Currently, no RFAs are scheduled to be posted.
Increasing Community-Based Access to Vaccines Stipends are available for organizations (public, private, nonprofit, or academic) to increase the number of people who have access to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Groups that will be included in project activities include individuals with disabilities, their families, friends, caregivers, and direct-support professionals. The funding amount for these stipends is up to $15,000. Stipends will be awarded as funding is available. No stipends will be awarded after Sept. 30, 2022.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Events Stipends have been suspended until further notice. Texas organizations that conduct qualified in-state professional or informational conferences, workshops, or legislative advocacy skills training events can apply for grants to help more individuals with developmental disabilities and their family members to attend.
