88th Legislative Session

TCDD is dedicated to creating change so that all Texans with disabilities fully included in their communities and exercise control over their own lives. Through engagement with the public, the legislature, and agency officials, TCDD works to represent and improve the lives of people with disabilities.

Every two years, the Texas Legislature convenes for a 140-day regular legislative session. The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities (TCDD) monitors legislative activities that could impact disability-related programs and services. The regular session of the 88th Texas Legislature convened at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023. During the legislative sessions, TCDD provided the following information:
