At the national conference, two presentations covered TCDD-funded initiatives focused on reading skills and literary inclusion for people with DD.

In her role, TenBrink will lead all of TCDD’s leadership and advocacy efforts, including managing the Texas Partners in Policymaking program. TenBrink will also support TCDD’s coalition building and community engagement initiatives.
TCDD is seeking review panel members to evaluate grant proposals. Members of the review panel evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of proposals and develop group recommendations to the Council about funding.
National Disability Employment Awareness Month recognizes American workers with disabilities. In recognition, we’re sharing disability employment resources and information throughout October.
The Texas Center for Disability Studies is recruiting applicants for its training program, “The Road to Recovery: Supporting Children with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Who Have Experienced Trauma.”
