The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities (TCDD) is pleased to announce the selection of Sabrina Gonzalez as a public policy analyst. In her role, Gonzalez monitors disability issues in Texas and conducts activities that advance TCDD’s public policy priorities.

Before joining TCDD, Gonzalez was a public policy fellow at the Disability Justice Initiative of the Center for American Progress and at the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions in Washington, D.C. As a fellow, Gonzalez worked on public policy issues at the intersection of disability and education.

“I am excited to be back in my home state and working on policy priorities that support TCDD’s mission of creating change so that all people with disabilities are fully included in their communities and exercise control over their own lives,” Gonzalez said.

When not at work, Gonzalez enjoys spending time with her loved ones, traveling, and watching movies. She graduated from St. Edward’s University in Austin, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science.

Gonzalez is originally from Pharr, Texas. She joined TCDD on July 1, 2020.
