Senate Bill 904 clarifies enforcement of the unauthorized use of parking spaces designated for people with disabilities. The bill was authored by Rep. Drew Springer.

Several disability-related bills passed before a major House deadline, including measures to ban the death penalty on people with intellectual disabilities and create an accessible absentee ballot system.

HB 4702 would establish peer supports for individuals with DD as a billable service under Medicaid. The bill was authored by Rep. Liz Campos.

During its quarterly meetings from Feb. 9-12, 2021, the Council awarded continuation funding to TCDD projects creating positive change across Texas communities.

The state plan outlines TCDD activities and policy work over the next five years. Council members reviewed and approved the plan following a public comment period and a statewide outreach campaign.
