Project Overview
Develop a model for family-based alternatives for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who live in institutions or who are at risk of being placed in institutions.
Summary
The use of Plans for Achieving Self-Support (PASS) Project was designed to increase the use of SSA work incentives by Texans with IDD. The project was to provide training and technical assistance to a statewide network and community training coalitions known as the Texas PASS Network (TPN). Five Regional PASS Networks would serve as community training resources and focal points for the Certified Work Incentive Trainer Program. At least 280 PASS plans were to be developed and approved. The project, through the TPN, would assure each county in Texas would have a trained resource person to assist with PASS plans.
