United Cerebral Palsy — Texas Home of Your Own Project

Project Goal
Assist individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) to become homeowners.

Project Summary
This project was proposed to assist individuals with DD to become homeowners. The Texas Home of Your Own (HOYO) Project planned to demonstrate a comprehensive homeownership program in five communities to share knowledge about community partnerships and strategies for homeownership. HOYO aimed to work with legislative, lending industry, and social service systems to improve policies and practices which make homeownership possible for persons with DD. HOYO also planned to host conferences on issues related to homeownership for people with DD.
