Special Care and Career Services — 3-5 Transition Program

Project Goal
Help children ages 3-5 transition from Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) programs into the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) in local school districts.

Project Summary
Through this demonstration project, project staff planned to assist children who graduated from ECI as well as their families quickly adjust to PPCD and continue needed therapies. Through this process, children would have the opportunity to achieve optimum benefits from PPCD. Families would also receive assistance in accessing the resources necessary to be fully included in their communities as well as therapy equipment that met their children’s needs.
