Project Goal
Provide parents of children with developmental disabilities (DD) the knowledge and skills to effectively care and advocate for their children.

Project Summary
This project intended to establish the community-based leadership training, the “Academia de Liderazgo para Familias,” in El Paso. The project would provide an ongoing, culturally competent and community-based parent leadership training for parents of children with DD to gain knowledge and skills to care and advocate for their children. The desired result would be families improving their ability to help their children to reach their potential in their border community.
