Advocacy, Inc. — Disaster Recovery Project

Project Summary Through this project, community integration specialists planned to assist displaced hurricane survivors with developmental disabilities by analyzing their options for community living in Texas or Louisiana. The specialists were to focus on individuals of all ages in four regions: South Texas/San Antonio; East Texas/Houston/Beaumont; Central Texas/Austin/Waco; and North Texas/Dallas/Fort Worth. The project also sought to provide training and technical assistance to other organizations and give input on emergency management and evacuation plans for individuals needing long-term community supports and services.
