23 East Group — Enhancing Statewide Community Engagement

23 East Group is enhancing TCDD’s capacity to conduct engagement and outreach activities across Texas. The project develops measurement models to gather qualitative and quantitative data on how best to reach target audiences and gauge success. The project also supports TCDD in engaging communities and informing policymakers on being responsive to disability needs.  

The Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (DD Act) requires TCDD to conduct communication and engagement activities as well as targeted outreach to identify people with DD and families who might not otherwise be known to the Council. Along with fulfilling DD Act requirements, this project raises awareness of TCDD’s impact areas through storytelling and communications about the capabilities of people with DD.
