Knowbility, Inc. — Accessibility Internet Rally

Project Goal

Increase access to the internet and other information technology for individuals with developmental disabilities (DD).

Project Summary
Accessibility Internet Rally (AIR) was a program developed by Knowbility in 1998 to expand the ability of children and adults with DD to fully participate as producers and consumers in the information marketplace. The program’s focus was on improving access to the internet and other information technology for individuals with DD. Knowbility’s AIR program had far-ranging community development benefits as it integrated the needs of people with DD into general principles of good technology design. AIR has been recognized for excellence and innovation by experts throughout the nation. Through this grant, Knowbility sought to develop a systematic means to deliver the program to communities throughout Texas.
