Project Goal
Provide training and technical assistance to Texas communities wishing to increase accessible, affordable, and consumer-controlled housing for persons with developmental disabilities (DD).

Project Summary
The Consumer-Controlled Housing Enterprise Project was designed to provide training and technical assistance to Texas communities wishing to increase accessible, affordable, and consumer-controlled housing for persons with DD. The project planned to provide direct support to local housing coalitions in Tarrant County, El Paso, Houston, San Antonio, Lufkin, Lubbock and Amarillo. Assistance with grant writing for federal and state housing funds was also to be available to organizations and communities. The project proposed to collaborate with the Texas Home of Your Own Coalition and other statewide disability organizations to promote increased awareness of housing for people with DD.
