In the session’s waning days, lawmakers will discuss some proposed bills in formal meetings rather than public hearings, making it an important time for advocates to contact their legislators.
With the Legislature’s regular session in its final stretch, many disability-related bills hit critical deadlines while some move closer to becoming law.
House Bill 175 would establish optional certifications and a grant program for child care providers serving children with disabilities. The bill was authored by Rep. Mary González.
