During the meetings, Council members awarded grant funding for new and ongoing TCDD projects and engaged in discussions on important disability issues.
The 2024 primary elections are on March 5. People with disabilities and their family members can review important dates, voting locations, and available voting resources ahead of time to have their voting plan ready.
Several disability-related bills passed before a major House deadline, including measures to ban the death penalty on people with intellectual disabilities and create an accessible absentee ballot system.
HB 4702 would establish peer supports for individuals with DD as a billable service under Medicaid. The bill was authored by Rep. Liz Campos.
