Project Goal
Expand access to mental health care service and supports for people with developmental disabilities (DD) by developing training for mental health care providers and other professionals

Project Summary
The Whole Person Training will develop a curriculum for mental health care providers who work with people with DD who may also experience mental health conditions. The curriculum will focus on strengthening the knowledge and skills of mental health providers and other professionals to support people with DD who need mental health care service and supports. Along with the training, the project will study statewide barriers to care; evaluate models of care that can be replicated and implemented; and identify policy recommendations to expand mental health care access for people with DD in Texas.
