In October, raise awareness about the importance of including people of all abilities in the workplace.
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). NDEAM, which started in 1945, provides an opportunity to celebrate the contributions people with disabilities make to the workforce and to raise awareness about the importance of including people of all abilities in the workplace.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) assembled a NDEAM 2016 Resource Toolbox designed to help individuals and organizations raise awareness during NDEAM. The toolbox includes a poster, sample social media content, drop-in articles, and more. The hashtag for NDEAM 2016 is #InclusionWorks.
